What is the Nctd sprinter?
The Sprinter is the first passenger train service along the Escondido Branch since the Santa Fe Railroad discontinued passenger service in 1946. NCTD purchased the line in 1992 from the Santa Fe Railroad. Construction started on the line in 2005 and was scheduled for completion in December 2007.
Can you park overnight at Oceanside train station?
Oceanside Transit Center has more than 1,200 spaces, with a three-story parking structure located on the corner of S. Cleveland St. and Seagaze Dr. However, no overnight parking is allowed in the parking structure.

Our east-west SPRINTER hybrid rail spans 22-miles and connects Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido—serving 15 stations along the Highway 78 corridor. The SPRINTER runs every 30 minutes in each direction Monday through Friday, from approximately 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday trains run later.

Can you sleep in your car in Oceanside CA?
The Oceanside Walmart’s do not allow over night parking. Many people use the rest stops north of Oceanside (one on either side of I-5) for sleeping. Another option is Guajome County Park, just 5 mile’s inland on a pretty lake – with nice hiking, play grounds, bathrooms, etc. but usually the Harbor does not fill up.
