What is the Nctd sprinter?

The Sprinter is the first passenger train service along the Escondido Branch since the Santa Fe Railroad discontinued passenger service in 1946. NCTD purchased the line in 1992 from the Santa Fe Railroad. Construction started on the line in 2005 and was scheduled for completion in December 2007.

The Oceanside Walmart’s do not allow over night parking. Many people use the rest stops north of Oceanside (one on either side of I-5) for sleeping. Another option is Guajome County Park, just 5 mile’s inland on a pretty lake – with nice hiking, play grounds, bathrooms, etc. but usually the Harbor does not fill up.
